The tensions of daily life can manifest differently from person to person. Some may experience a tight jaw, some may eat too much (or too little), and others get a tense scalp.
At any time of the year, a good scalp massage has the power to change one’s day. We invite you to find 10 minutes to try these five simple steps:
With your fingertips, comb your hair from the hairline to the base of the neck, in one backward movement. Repeat, covering all areas of the head.
Using a scalp brush, create small circular motions from the hairline to the base of the neck and then onto the neck & shoulders. Repeat this on both sides of the head, and especially behind the ears.
Place both hands firmly on your head with fingers interlocked on your crown, palms facing down. Create circular motions, keeping your hands sturdy on your head, moving only the scalp. Rotate both ways and repeat, moving your hands from the top of your head to the base of your neck.
Place your index and middle fingers behind each ear, below the hairline and create circular motions. Rotate in both directions.
Using a scalp brush, brush through your hair from the hairline to the base of the neck, covering all areas of the head.
